February 2017, Takeuchi Introduces Hybrid Excavator – Takeuchi-US unveiled the TB216H, its first diesel-electric motor hybrid powered compact excavator, during The Rental Show this week in Orlando. With this dual-power feature, Takeuchi says the machine can switch between indoor and outdoor work. A Yanmar Tier 4 Final engine rated at 14.9 hp powers the machine in diesel mode.
