Bramco Announces a new General Manager for their Material Handling Division
LOUISVILLE, KY, July 9, 2017– Bramco, Inc., parent company for Brandeis Machinery & Supply, Power Equipment, Certified Rental and Bramco-MPS, announces new hire Chip Young as General Manager, Material Handing. Mr. Young will start July 9, 2018 and will succeed Gary Hirsch, current General Manager of this division, who is retiring effective January 1, 2019.
“Chip brings a great deal of industry knowledge and experience to the Bramco organization through his roles at Ingersoll-Rand and Volvo Construction Equipment. His marketing, product management, and channel development background will translate well to Bramco’s expanding scrap, recycling, port, and crane business,” Mr. Hirsch states. Michael Brennan, President and COO of Bramco concurs. “Mr. Young is a great addition to the team and an asset as we continue to plan for the future of Bramco and it’s growing business. “

Mr. Young comes to Bramco after working at Ingersoll-Rand in marketing, product management and channel development. Upon the sale of Ingersoll-Rand’s Road Development business, Mr. Young transitioned to Volvo Construction Equipment where he continued in a channel development role and later moved to commercial management. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in Ohio and attained his Master of Business Administration from Western Carolina University.
Mr. Young and his wife Tina are both originally from Louisville, Kentucky and are looking forward to returning after being away for many years.
