Brandeis Machinery 2016 Eastern Kentucky Fishing Tournament
On May 1st, 2016 Brandeis Machinery held it’s annual Eastern Kentucky Fishing Tournament. This year the event was held at Swann’s Marina in Dandridge, Tennessee and attracted 88, 2-man teams from all over the eastern Kentucky area. The contest is held as a thank you to Brandeis Machinery customers. This year’s tournament marked the 25th time we have held this widely popular event. Fishermen headed out at 6:45a.m. sharp and had until 2:45p.m. to have their catch back to the dock. Afterwards, everyone feasted on some down-home cooking consisting of grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, pork chops and chicken as well as sausage and saurkraut. Green beans, corn, baked beans and mashed potatoes accompanied the grilled items. After dinner, everyone got to draw for a door prize. Door prizes consisted of fishing rod, reel, oil, battery, life jacket shirt or fishing tackle. No one went home empty-handed! Of the 88 teams, the team of Dustin Evans and John Smith came out on top with the five fish limit coming in at 17.43lbs! Total catch from all teams amount to 254 fish weighing in a 512lbs! Since this is a catch and release event, all fish were returned to the lake. We would like to thank everyone that participated and helped to hold this event. And if you missed it this year, be sure to stay in touch for next year’s event! Pictures are below. | ||||||
